Checking for Hair Cracks

 Check the conducting tracks between the two questionable points
 using a continuity tester. If a track seems to be unconnected,
 resolder the appropriate soldering point on both sides; if that
 still does not help, solder a wire in parallel to the track.

   If the tracks seem to be alright, you usually have to replace
 one of the questionable parts.

   Often you cannot find hair cracks this way because the contact
 problems only occur under thermal stress. In this case, use a
 hair dryer and/or ice spray to make the haircracks and dry joints
 shout: HERE WE ARE! WE GIVE UP! :)
