Help about the Commodore 64 - FAQs and other sources of information
Who are you, anyway? - about MJK
First of all: As opposed to very many other WWW sites, this set of pages is very DYNAMIC, I try to update it DAILY. A list of changes, sorted chronologically, is available on the main page and is called 'What's new?'.Of course, you can find nearly everything about Commodore computers here, it contains tons of links like all the other pages do, too. Above that, this page offers four special topics:
This page contains instructions for expanding your
Commodore's capabilities and its usability, it makes your Commodore
sound better, feel better, live longer.
Above that, it contains detailled repair
instructions to bring your Commodore back to life again. For most of the
analysis procedures, you don't need oscilloscopes or other sophisticated
devices, a simple multimeter will do in many cases. Though you should
think about buying a logic tester.

After getting to know about the Commodore prototypes C65 and the Commodore laptop (Commodore LCD), I wanted to know about ALL Commodore 8-bit machines ever produced. The goal of Commodore Hardware PEEKs is to cover EVERY Commodore 8-bit machine, including all the prototypes that never made it to the market. And I mean it. So if you think there is something which could help me in my quest, any pictures, circuit diagrams, or other information, please mail me, you'll get credits, I promise :-)
Starting as a simple private address book of C64 related people I contacted
from time to time, this list evolved to a compilation of web, email and
postal addresses of people related to the C64 scene, including phone / fax
numbers and other information. It's not meant to be the ultimate list which
contains EVERY scener in the world, but I try to keep it up to date and hope
that it is of any use.
Please note that I consider myself not a member of the scene, so I cannot
know about EVERYTHING that is going on in it. If you notice errors in the
SAL, or want someone or something to be added, don't rely on me that I'll
find out myself some day! Instead, simply mail me and I'll update it ASAP.

A page which explains all technical terms used in these pages, and some more. This is mainly for beginners.
There is only one thing worth mentioning: If a page's status is 'Verified on xxxx' (this is written at the bottom of each page), it means that I perused this page very carefully and checked every link in it at least once on the given date. That doesn't necessarily mean that everything is valid at the time you read the page, but it is very likely.
