Along with The Complete Commodore Inner Space Anthology, this book is essential to understanding and working with the 1541 at a low level (click picture to enlarge). When I found this sitting on a shelf at a local computer store, I immediately bought it. It has definitely seen much use, and I still use it now.

Among some of its contents are ROM listings, an entire chapter on GCR, basic copy protection etc.

I also have a copy of the Abacus book Anatomy of the 1541, but it pales in comparison to this one.
