Whereas the Software User desires to use one of University of Waterloo's (UW's) licensed copies of SAS (hereinafter called the "Software") and

Whereas UW has licensed the Software under terms and conditions it is required to observe.

Now, therefore, UW and Software User agree as follows:

  1. UW hereby awards custody of a copy of this licensed Software to Software User.
  2. Software User agrees to use this copy strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions of UW's license agreement with the supplier of the Software.
  3. Software User represents that he/she is an authorized user under the terms of the said license agreement (i.e., a student, faculty or staff member of the university).
  4. Software User, using university owned computers, shall reimburse UW monies for the first year and monies in each subsequent year as a contribution to the license fees paid by UW. The Student version of the software shall be an anuual fee per copy.
  5. Should Software User cease to be an authorized user as stipulated in Clause 3 above, or if UW's license for the Software terminated, Software User agrees to return the UW licensed copy of the Software to the Computing Help and Information Place (CHIP, MC1052) in the Department of Information Systems and Technology.

In order to receive your software you must take this signed form to Computing Help and Information Place, IST, MC1052.
