Dell Desktop Rollover Update

Status of Orders
- Order 6 is arriving. We are currently targeting 1.5 GHZ to 1.8GHz computers
- Order 7 will be placed in June, with arrival and deployment taking place in July and August
- Order 8 will be placed in September, with arrival and deployment taking place in October
Feedback so far (configuration changes such as default to USFF). A 20" display will become an optional display for a price (around $300).
Review of Funding for Desktop Rollover Program Guidelines
- For departments that are centrally funded (non-ancillary academic support departments).
- For FTE staff that use a computer to accomplish tasks their job requires.
For eligible departments, we are reviewing and will be asking you to confirm the number of computers that will be covered in the desktop rollover program, over a four year period
Departments that do not qualify because of the way they are funded, can benefit from the desktop rollover process. They will, however, have to pay for the cost.
