Get an Exchange (Connect) Email Account
- Faculty, Staff and Graduate Students should talk to their computing support representative.
- Note that while Exchange was designed to serve faculty and staff, graduate students often perform functions similar to staff and faculty.
- Computing Support Representatives:
- Submit an RT item to request@uwaterloo.ca 1 or 2 days in advance of the scheduled migration (2 days notice is recommended). If the request is of an urgent nature (less than a day), copy both etbain@uwaterloo.ca and tim@uwaterloo.ca.
- Include the scheduled email migration date and time of day in the text of the RT item.
Example: July 9th morning.
- Include the department or faculty, full familiar name and WatIAM userid of all users requiring new account(s).
Example: : IST Albert Einstein aeinstei
- Include if they are using a BlackBerry and whether or not they currently use (or will be using) SyncJe for Bookit calendar.
- Undergraduate Students - Exchange accounts are not available to students at this time - we invite students to use Mailservices.
- Note that if there is a university business need or function that is supported better with Exchange, a student account can be requested.
Have a BlackBerry?
- You can connect to your Exchange email account using the BES server.
