Purpose of FACCUS
FACCUS is a resource group for staff providing user support in the faculties,
IST and the Library. As a resource, FACCUS organizes and provides:
- seminars on user support issues, including user support models, training
methods, consulting tools, and technology.
- the opportunity to meet other computing support staff in the faculites,
IST and the Library that provide user support. It is an opportunity to share
ideas, seek advice on problems, and share resources (e.g. documentation, course
notes).
- effective communication between the faculties, IST and the Library on topics/issues related to client support and how to address the every changing needs of clients (staff, faculty and students)
- meetings are held once per term
FACCUS Organization
FACCUS is run by its members. Organization of meetings and minutes is taken care of by Lisa Tomalty (with Bob Hicks as her backup). Minutes will be taken by either Bob Hicks or Lisa Tomalty. The chair for FACCUS meetings rotates alphabetically
through the groups. The sponsoring
group will take care of the following for their meeting:
- arrange for a meeting room in their area
- chair the meeting
FACCUS Mailing List
A FACCUS mailing list (faccus@lists) is used
- to notify FACCUS members about future

FACCUS members to seek
