Mailservices Email
Mailservices is the centralized electronic mail server for all students of the University of Waterloo and any other members of the University who would like to use it. Students are encouraged to use the on-campus system for Waterloo communication with faculty and administration. All current students are provided with accounts automatically. Anyone who has a University of Waterloo userid (which you can verify by logging on to WatIAM) is eligible to use the system.
Using Mailservices
- Verifying your mailservices account. This page can also be used to create a mailservices account.
- Web access to mailservices. Log in using your UW credentials (userid and password)
- SquirrelMail
- MyWaterloo, also known as NexusMail. Choose mailservices as the Server.
- Setting up an email client, eg, Thunderbird, Outlook, etc.

Other useful information
After you graduate
Students with a mailservices account will get to keep this email account after they graduate. The email forwarding service that redirects email addressed to userid@uwaterloo.ca will continue to provide forwarding. The address can be changed via the watiam service page.
