The University of Waterloo has purchased the licence to use Gotham font for university publications, printed materials, and correspondence.
The Gotham font is also used in the wordmarks for the University of Waterloo, its faculties, departments, and support areas. If your area requires a wordmark, please consult with Creative Services (formerly Graphic Services). Wordmarks are carefully spaced and will be created as graphic elements for your use.
It can be used as body text and for headlines and is available to all Waterloo faculty and staff using university-owned computing equipment. Note that when embedding the font, for example in PDF files, you must subset the character set to only those used in the document. The font may not be used for dynamic text. On the web, the font may be used to create GIF and JPG files, and Flash files with static text (provided the font is subsetted), but not for font embedding technologies such as SIFR and @font-face.
Creative Services has chosen Le Monde as the serif font to complement Gotham in publications. However, that font is available only through Creative Services projects: for everyday use, please use Times New Roman as the preferred Waterloo serif font.
