Electronic Thesis Paste-In Objects

Art Work
All art work must be made computer readable. This can be done by scanning it. There are a number of scanners on campus, one of which is located in the CHIP, MC1052, and is available to everyone at no cost. Most scanners handle a maximum size of 8.5 by 11 inches. The Graphics department operates a scanner capable of handling pages up to 11 by 17 inches. There is a modest charge for this service. To have anything larger scanned, you may need to go off campus.
Photography
If you will be taking photographs to include in an electronic thesis, you will want to consider using a digital camera. If you are using a regular camera, Graphics Services may be able to transfer your images to a CD. You can then import these images into your document. Graphics Services 'may' also be able to scan slides, or negative strips.
