The quick search bar (at the top of UW web pages) is usually adequate for finding UW people by name -- you can search for "John Smith", "Smith John", etc. You can even search with wild cards to find "J* Smith". Matching results are truncated at 25 entries so you may need to refine your search if you did not find who you were looking for.
Search WatIAM White Pages -- a public service to help find employees and students in the published portion of the WatIAM campus white pages.
You may be able to search WatIAM in your email program by configuring an LDAP server.
Attachments are files (for example word processing files or pictures) that are sent along with email messages.
Be aware of mail system restrictions on the size and type of attachments. Click here for UW's list of current email attachment restrictions.
See the 'responsibilities' section for instructions on sending and receiving attachments.
You can use a tool called "mailman" to manage email lists. To get a mailman list set up submit a request to IST. You will receive an email response to confirm the list has been created. The email will include your administrative password along with links to configure the list and brief instructions to get you started.
There are SEW handouts for mailman available on the sharepoint site.
