Obtaining Electronic Class Lists

Restrictions on the use of Class Lists

Policy 19 Access to and Release of Student Information describes the University's requirements for the handling of Student information, including class lists. Please be aware of these requirements when working with student information.

Requesting an Electronic Class List

Electronic class lists will be made available to instructors (as defined in Policy 19) from sources within each of the faculties:
Applied Health Sciences
department Undergraduate & Graduate Assistants
Arts
from the PAS Consulting Office
Engineering
from the Engineering Computer User Support Center (ECUSC)
Environmental Studies
Departmental Offices
Mathematics
Mathematics Undergraduate Office
Science
Science Computing Help Desk

Web Interface to Electronic Class Lists

A Web interface to information from the Student Information System provides a convenient mechanism of obtaining electronic class lists. This interface is restricted to authorized staff in each of the faculties. A description of the interface is available from the class list form. Class lists are created with the various fields (identified in the first line of the file) separated by ":". This file may easily be brought into Excel.
