Recovering a Previous Version

How to recover a previous version from a Windows (NetApp) network drive.

  1. Open 'My Computer'.
  2. Right click on the network drive (or a folder within) that you need to recover a backup from.
  3. Select Properties.
  4. Open the Previous Versions tab.

  5. Select a Previous Version.
  6. You can either View, Copy, or Restore the folder.
    It is best to View the folder, you can then open files to acertain if that is the version you want to restore.


Recovering a File from a Snapshot

How to recover a backup from a Windows (NetApp) network drive.

  1. Open 'My Computer'.
  2. Open the network drive you need to recover a backup from.
  3. In the address bar type ~snapshot after the drive designation.

  4. You will now see backups (hourly, nightly, and weekly):

  5. When you find the file or folder that you want you can copy it to the location of your choice.
