Vulnerability notes and other best advice documents prepared on security issues will sometimes require the assistance of competent professionals -- many issues are non-trivial. If you are not able to address a problem you should seek help.

Information Systems and Technology (IST) has the Computer Help and Information Place (CHIP) and provides services to the campus at large.
Each faculty/school maintains their own computing facilities, which includes computer labs, helpdesk, training, printing, and computer accounts. You can approach the helpdesk for your faculty/school:
Housing provides assistance for students on the Residence Network (Resnet).
