Gordon Boys' Home sent only a few boys to Canada. These boys were sent to Reverend Mr. Stearne Tighe on Amherst Island. Tighe placed the lads for the home. When the Canadian Government found out, and Tighe refused to fill out the appropriate forms, the government put an end to the immigration. Several years later, a few more of the boys were sent to Canada.
