Fall 2010 Champions: The Pheasant team of Captain Geoff Hayes, Gary Bruce, Emanuel Carvalho, Al Hayes, Philbert Ho, David Isern, Kiyoung Kim, John McPhee, Michael Pitblado, John Sbardellati and Mathew Thijssen are champions in one of the Intermediate divisions. The team struggled to a 1-5 record through the regular schedule and came together as a team to win three playoff contests.
Fall 2008 Champions: The Pheasant team of Captain Martin Timmerman, Emanuel Carvalho, Roydyn Clayton, Geoff Hayes, John McPhee, John Sbardellati, Jeff Semple, Neil Thomson and Dennis Turriff are the I3 Champions. After losing the first game of the season, the Pheasants won five straight. The 5-1 record was 17th best in the league, a placing in the I3 playoff pool. Three wins in a week secured the championship, the final game a margin of 30 points.
Fall 2004 Champions: The Pheasant team of Captain Mark Zanna, Graham Brown, David Brush, Emanuel Carvalho, Bob Kerton, John McPhee, Jeff Semple, Neil Thomson and, Martin Timmerman are the B4 Champions. A regular season record of 2-4 earned a berth in the B4 Division. The first playoff opponent gave up before the game and the team won on back to back nights to claim their second championship in a row.
Spring 2004 Champions: The Pheasant team of Captain John McPhee, Graham Brown, David Brush, Emanuel Carvalho, Bob Kerton, Kevin Morency, Jeff Semple, Neil Thomson, Martin Timmerman and, Dennis Turriff are the B2 Champions. A regular season record of 3-3 earned a berth in the B2 Division. Two regular season games were played with only four players, with a 1-1 record achieved in those two games. With the team at full strength for the playoffs, three convincing victories made the team champions for the first time in almost two years.
Fall 2002 Champions: The Pheasant team of Captain Emanuel Carvalho, Graham Brown, David Brush, David John, Bob Kerton, John McPhee, Martin Timmerman, Alan Webb and, Mark Zanna are the B6 Champions. A regular season record of 1-5 earned a berth in the B6 Division (a year later we still can't win those 10:30pm starts). In a repeat of a year ago, two playoff games at a more reasonable time secured another championship. This win marks the fourth championship in the last five terms.
Summer 2002 Champions: The Pheasant team of Captain Graham Brown, Emanuel Carvalho, David John, Bob Kerton, John McPhee, Neil Thomson, Martin Timmerman, Levent Tuncel, David Brush and Kyle Szilock are the most recent championship team. A regular season record of 3-2-1 earned a berth in the B2 Division, where a thirteen point semifinal win over a team that beat us once before was followed by a three point win in the championship game. In that championship, the team scored the last six points of the game to turn a three point deficit into a win.
Fall 2001 Champions: The Pheasant team of Captain Bob Kerton, Graham Brown, Emmanuel Carvalho, David John, John McPhee, Neil Thomson, Martin Timmerman, Levent Tuncel and Mark Zanna are the most recent championship team. A regular season record of 3-3 earned a berth in the B4 Division (we can't win those 10:30 games). Two playoff games in the early evening and another championship was in the books.
Summer 2001 Champions: The Pheasant team of Captain Ross Haywood, David John, Bob Kerton, John McPhee, Neil Thomson, Martin Timmerman, Levent Tuncel, David Brush and Matt Armstrong are the most recent championship team. A regular season record of 6-0 earned a berth in the B1 Division. Only two teams achieved 6-0 records in the B division. A semi-final win over Mike's Lanes set up the championship match against (who?). Taking the first lead with about 2 minutes to play, the Pheasants started hitting free throws and won a cherised championship.
Summer 1999 Champions: The Pheasant team of Captain Emanuel Carvalho, David John, Bob Kerton, Neil Thomson, Martin Timmerman, Mark Zanna, David Brush, Ross Haywood and Will Fick are the most recent championship team. A regular season record of 3-2 earned a berth in the B2 Division, where a first round bye and a twelve point semifinal win was followed by a five point win in the championship game.
Pheasants in the press: The University of Waterloo Student newspaper, Imprint printed an article, titled Pheasants still flying in the December 6, 1996 issue.
Awards: Campus Recreation honoured the Pheasants with special recognition at the First Annual Campus Recreation Recognition Evening on March 19, 1997.
Business Meeting: A meeting of tenured Pheasants was held on December 12, 1997 to discuss issues of importance to the operation of the team.
