Bob Hicks mentioned that order four has been submitted and we are expecting it soon. After this order has been delivered and installed, all computers in departments that are eligible for the Desktop Deployment Rollover project should have processors that are over 1.5 GHz. If that is not the case, computing support staff should contact Bob.
In order four we are going to try a pilot with three departments (Plant Ops, Finance, and Office and Research). This pilot involves getting information (MIC addresses) from Dell before the machines are delivered from Dell. This will allow us to register the machines on our network. The machines will then be delivered to the department, and imaged there. We'll see how this works out.
