IST is working on changes that will make email more secure (eliminate clear text passwords). Changes will first be applied to IST staff (week of January 16th). If all goes well, we will then target admmail users. The change will involve a change to client's email configuration. A document is now available that summarizes changes to the most common email tools This will be advertised in the Daily Bulletin, and computing support reps will be notified with enough warning to make sure their departments are ready for the change. IST liaisons will be helping computing support reps with this.
