Bob asked if there was any training that IST could provide to help computing support reps. One suggestion from Bob, was an orientation session for new computing support reps. This could be done once a year.
The SEW program of courses continues to be updated. Our web courses are currently being updated. We have a new XHTML course, and the Dreamweaver courses are being updated to version 8.
Departments can request a course by contacting Bob. Usually we like to have at least 5 people in a course. The Bookit course, for example, is often requested.
Bob is looking into some web based training in Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Dreamweaver. These courses range from introductory to advanced. This training is useful when the SEW courses are not being offered when the training is needed. More on this later.
